Blue Sunday 2023!
Once again, it is an absolute pleasure and privilege to do what I can for a community of people who deserve so much more than just a tea party 💙
12 months of slow preparation and here we all are; coming together to champion ourselves & our caregivers, in the absence of society and medicine doing that for us. For only we truly know the devastation that M.E. brings, and my goodness do we deserve something joyous as a result!
You don’t need to have had an all singing, all dancing Tea Party For M.E. today; we all know that that is unrealistic for many people with M.E., particularly when we never have any idea how functional we are going to be on any given day.
That’s why simply scrolling through other people’s posts counts as joining in on Blue Sunday. It is so lovely to have you with us all, in whatever way worked for you. Some of society’s most debilitated and neglected, clinging on to moments of joy online. I am immensely proud of us.
A quick count of the donations shows we’ve raised over £13,000, with several charities to contact later in the week. Look at what we’ve done my friends! £13,000 and still rising.
