Ideas on how to join in on Sunday 17th May 2026:

- Post a photo of your tea party set-up to social media, and/or
- Invite others to enjoy tea and cake with you in-person, via video call, or by sharing photos, and/or
- Donate the price you’d pay in a café to an M.E. charity, and/or
- Connect with others online who are doing the same, by commenting on their posts
You can use the hashtags #BlueSunday2026 and #TeaPartyForME2026, or the Facebook Event for 2026 to share your photos and chat with others.

A guide for M.E. charities
Join the Facebook Event
Many people find that the easiest way to connect with others on Blue Sunday is via the dedicated Facebook event . You can share your own photos, leave comments on other people’s posts, or simply scroll through the page to see how other people are joining in on Blue Sunday.
The Concert by Isaac Greer
I am delighted to share that Isaac Greer has orchestrated another exceptional concert for Blue Sunday participants to enjoy with their tea and cake. All proceeds from this online concert will be going to the University of Edinburgh’s ME/CFS research team.
Chronic Craft Club
Mo, who is behind Chronic Craft Club, is hosting a gentle, free zoom meet-up to mark Blue Sunday this year. There is no obligation to have your microphone or camera on; you’ll be made so welcome however you show up. With games and chats, it’s a lovely way to spend some of your Blue Sunday. All details at link below:
“What is M.E.?”
I have always found Blue Sunday to be a great, lighthearted way to educate people about M.E. Naomi Whittingham has kindly reshared her post “What is M.E.?” for us to forward on to our friends and family. A Life Hidden: What is M.E.?
Printable leaflet
Once again, there’s a printable leaflet for you to use at your own Tea Party For M.E. if you’d like to have some info on hand but aren’t able to make your own. Leaflet for 2026
Fundraising for ME/CFS causes
Every year I collate fundraising and donation links for charities across the world, in the hope it makes it easier for you to donate on Blue Sunday. You’ll find the links at the Blue Sunday Donations tab . There is no obligation to donate, but those who can donate the price of tea and cake to an ME/CFS charity of their choice. I do my best to keep track of the running total so we know how much our efforts have raised each year.
While there are a multitude of worthy causes and conditions that need donations, Blue Sunday will remain solely for the benefit of ME/CFS charities.
