World M.E. Day looked very different to my norm this year. I had the pleasure and immensely good fortune of attending my cousin’s wedding. A magnificent, gargantuan feat that I’m sure I’ll come back to soon and share more photos with you all.
So there was no M.E. Awareness content from me on social media this weekend. To be honest, I feel that I mostly exist in an echo chamber, where my posts about M.E. are seen solely by people who are already well aware of its existence and its destructive power.
But my cousin and her new husband did some awareness raising of their own, in lieu of wedding favours.
They donated money to two causes close to their hearts, one of which was an M.E. charity because little old me has had M.E. since 2010.

It was a complete surprise to me and I was so overcome with emotion for having their love and support and understanding.
I hope I never forget how it felt to see their love for me declared like that.
All my love to the new Mr and Mrs Brindley.
