A quick recap before The Big Day

Today (Wednesday) is my last day online before Blue Sunday. My LinkTree link (on all of my social media profiles) should have everything you need in it.

But if you’re a little unsure about anything at all, please reach out to me today so I can answer any of your queries.

I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for all of your support, kindness and care. It’s humbling to know so many of you are working out ways, around your own unique and restrictive symptoms, to mark Blue Sunday with me this weekend. 💙

  • The most important bit

There is no right or wrong way to join in; only what works for you with your health. So whether you are in bed by yourself, or hosting guests, it will be so lovely to have you joining in. I’m really looking forward to seeing your posts and chatting with as many of you as possible. I get thousands of notifications on Blue Sunday so I’m sorry if some get missed.

  • This year, I’m chuffed to have a lovely little team of close pals helping me out by using the Blue Sunday Crew page so it might be one of them who you get a response from on the day.
  • “I don’t have ME/CFS. Can I still join in?”

You don’t need an ME/CFS diagnosis to join in, nor do you need to know someone who has one. ‘Blue Sunday’ has always been open to everyone, although the charities we fundraise for will always be ME/CFS charities. We welcome anyone who will support us in our awareness and fundraising efforts.

  • Hashtags and/or Facebook Event

The hashtags #BlueSunday2023 #TeaPartyForME2023 (for Instagram & Twitter) and the Facebook Event are how I will find your posts. You can follow the hashtags or join/view the Facebook Event so you don’t miss any of the wider Tea Party For M.E. loveliness.

  • Hashtags and/or Facebook Event

Instagram & Twitter privacy settings mean I won’t see your posts if your account is private (even if you tag me in them). Just something to bear in mind. I get thousands of notifications on Blue Sunday so I’m really sorry in advance if you don’t get a reply from me personally.

  • “What if I wake up not feeling well enough to join in?”

All photos remain online indefinitely so if Sunday happens to be on of those ropier days, rest assured that everything will be there for you when the worst has passed. The nature of ME/CFS means everything has to be incredibly flexible. Enjoy your Tea Party For M.E. before or after Blue Sunday if that works best.

  • Donation information

Firstly, if you cannot donate please still join us. It really is important that you use the donation links on my website*. It helps me and the charities so much when adding up how much we’ve raised. When donating, you might notice the donation pages are in my name, but they are ours. Together we have raised over £70,000 since Blue Sunday began.

  • If you’re by yourself

As always, I’ll share photos and videos from my tea party so that you can feel a part of it from afar. I know first hand how isolating this illness is. I want, more than anything, for you to feel included.

  • Wishing you luck if you’re hosting an in-person Tea Party For M.E. and hoping you have a lovely day however you’re joining in.

I can’t wait to see you online on Sunday!

My LinkTree https://linktr.ee/theslowlane_ME should have everything you need to know ahead of 14th May 2023.
