“Tired: weary, bored or impatient with, uninteresting because overfamiliar”
Tired of signing petitions to get M.E. taken seriously.
Tired of begging people to remain cautious of covid because of the risk of Long Covid.
Tired of hearing of severely affected patients being left to die.
Tired of the stigma that still rages around M.E.
Tired of Twitter.
Tired of seeing others with Post Viral Illness try to separate themselves from M.E. because what they have is “real and serious” as if what we have isn’t.
Tired of feeling helpless.
Tired of the shock on people’s faces when we about the severity of M.E. as if we haven’t been saying it for decades.
Tired of false promises.
Tired of so little progress being made.
Tired of hearing the updated NICE guidelines have made little difference to protecting people from damaging ‘treatments’.
Tired of people selling ‘cures’.
Tired of others who talk about such ‘cures’ in a way that implies those of us who are still ill must be ill through choice.
Tired of feeling stuck between two worlds, but not quite a part of either.
Tired of being expected to be grateful for breadcrumbs.
Tired of the whole sorry mess.
